The Robber (1920 est)

The Plot.
A woman is laying on her bed looking at a picture of the man she obviously fancies as it is not long before her fingers disappear “downstairs” and she starts to masturbate. While this is happening a masked robber breaks in to her house with the intention of stealing her worldly goods but then opts to have his way with her. She resists at first but before long succumbs to his advances.

Production Value.
When you remember that this was back when silent movies were still the norm and that camera equipment was ridiculously bulky you have to appreciate the effort of just filming the thing. That being said its obvious they did it in someone’s house and that the tape was cheap as it’s quite distorted and broken. Oh and…uh…It IS a silent porno.

The Porn.
I frequently mention that vintage porn is tame by modern standards and this is another example. It starts off with a rather simple masturbation scene followed by what appears to be a brief rape primarily concerned with spanking that then turns in to the “victim” enjoying a little cunnilingus courtesy of the robber and that’s it.

Review.
I love these antique examples of pornographic movies. There is such charm to them especially when you remember that this was made when the current series of Downton Abbey is supposed to be set. We look back at that time as one of morals and decency and this shows they were just as horny as we are today.

As for the film I liked the masturbation scene as it looked more genuine than modern films where they are making an effort to convince you that it is amazing. The fact she is looking at a picture too is a nice little touch for me as it shows she is fantasizing about someone again making it feel more real.

The ‘attack’ is nearly comical and she soon opens her legs and lets him lap her up. There are millions of films like this these days and I hate them all. It is the fact that this was made in the 1920s that appeals to me.

Conclusion.
If you like looking at porn beyond the simple thing of just watching something to get you going then these films will appeal to you. If you are just looking for something to get you going though then this probably won’t be for you. If you do want to see it you can find it on numerous video sharing sites.
